Scope Of Services
The capital expenditure, design complexity, process safety and ease of maintenance are significantly by the location of the site and lay out of the equipment. Early review of site location and facility is paramount and is one of the first milestones in the project design phase as cost increases exponentially once the site has been selection and equipment installed.
Facility sitting study is IRC’s structured approach to assist projects in selecting suitable sites and optimize their layout by considering the following factors:
·Chemical properties and hazardous nature of fluids used in project.
·Minimum safety distance between equipment if leakage occurs.
·Escape and evacuation routes.
·Noise pollution impact.
·Statutory requirements by regulators, etc.
Crude oil, natural gas, LNG, gas processing and export, oil refining, pharmaceutical plant, coal chemical processing, fertilizer and agriculture chemical processing, chemical refining, etc.
Facility sitting study is performed in early design stages to allow the best results and minimize the need to alter the design. Typical output of the facility sitting study are:
·Minimum distance between facilities in each area.
·Recommended fire zoning.
·Recommended facility layout.
